PROJECT: PRODUCT DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AT SDL ENGINEERING UAB

SDL Engineering UAB is engaged in design and manufacturing of contour punching, bending, forming, deep drawing and progressive stamping equipment, as well as welding conductors, measuring and testing equipment, prototypes of parts for the manufacture of metal forming equipment, metal stamping and manufacture of metal products. To maintain revenue growth, the company is planning to invest in the manufacture of new products. During the project, three new product designs, distinguished by their unique shapes, appearance, technical properties and functionality, will be developed. Products created on the basis of new designs will enable the company to expand its product range and occupy a greater market share. The company applied for EU funding to ensure successful implementation of the project. After assessing the benefits of the project, funding was provided by the European Regional Development Fund under the call for proposals for Measure No. 03.3.1-LVPA-K-838 “Design LT” of Priority Axis 3 Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises of the Operational Programme for the European Union Funds' Investments in 2014-2020. Following the development of new product designs and the manufacture of a pilot series of products, preparations will be made to supply products at an international scale.
