SDL Engineering UAB is engaged in design and manufacturing of contour punching, bending, forming, deep drawing and progressive stamping equipment, as well as welding conductors, measuring and testing equipment, prototypes of parts for the manufacture of metal forming equipment, metal stamping and manufacture of metal products. To expand the company's activities, a decision was made to purchase the latest model of more environmentally-friendly stamping machines. The company applied for EU funding because investing in new machines is relatively costly. After assessing the benefits of the project, funding was provided by the European Regional Development Fund under the third call for proposals for Measure No. 03.3.2-LVPA-K-837 “Eco-Innovation LT+” of Priority Axis 3 Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises of the Operational Programme for the European Union Funds' Investments in 2014-2020. This is the second project implemented by the company under this measure. The project will be used to replace obsolete and inefficient machines. The new machines to be purchased as part of the project can perform the same tasks 4-5 times faster than the obsolete ones, in addition to saving power costs. The new machines will meet the current environmental requirements. The machines comply with the new ISO standards, which allow to declare lower consumption of harmful substances in the production process.
