Project: Investments into Development of Products to Help in the Fight against COVID-19 at SDL Engineering UAB

In consideration of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the State Sanitation Inspection, SDL Engineering UAB is working on a project aimed at contributing to the reduction of the impact of COVID-19. The company plans to purchase a contemporary manufacturing line for the development of disinfection stations which will be later released to the market. The disinfection stations will measure the body temperature and supply the necessary disinfection means after assessing the health condition of the respective person. The company applied for EU funding to ensure successful implementation of the project. After assessing the benefits of the project, funding was provided by the European Regional Development Fund under the call for proposals for Measure No. 03.3.1-LVPA-T-859 “COVID-19 Products LT” of Priority Axis 3 Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises of the Operational Programme for the European Union Funds' Investments in 2014-2020.
