Project: Introduction of E-Commerce Model in SDL Engineering UAB

SDL Engineering UAB is engaged in design and manufacturing of contour punching, bending, forming, deep drawing and progressive stamping equipment, as well as welding conductors, measuring and testing equipment, prototypes of parts for the manufacture of metal forming equipment, metal stamping and manufacture of metal products. Similar to many other companies who have faced the COVID-19 pandemic, SDL Engineering too had to reassess the new sales possibilities to safely sell its products in the market. The company made the decision to reduce the number of direct contacts by installing an e-commerce platform. During the project, the company intends to introduce e-commerce model solutions which will increase sales income and the efficiency of the company’s operations and will help to successfully overcome the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After assessing the benefits of the project, funding was provided by the European Regional Development Fund under the call for proposals for Measure No. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-860 “E-Commerce Model for COVID-19” of Priority Axis 13 Promotion of Measures to Overcome the COVID-19 Pandemic Induced Crisis and Preparation for Environmental, Digital and Sustainable Economic Recovery of the Operational Programme for the European Union Funds' Investments in 2014-2020. The project is funded as a European Union measure of response to COVID-19 pandemic.
